Spring Quarter 2014 (April - June 2014)
The final project for my Mobile Design class was for the entire class to collectively create a unified operating system for a new phone, and ours was "Bubble." Bubble's primary feature was its lack of one: there would be no home screen! Instead, navigation would be done through quick menus and circular buttons, like "Bubbles," designed for faster navigation between apps. I was tasked with creating the interface for the Alarm application, with group members working on other applications or inter-application interfaces.
Teamwork
- Worked with multiple teams throughout the project, moving between various teams as development progressed.
- Created schedules and set deadlines for mockups or documentation
- Also worked alongside other groups externally, in order to keep the style and design ideology of each team's designs consistent.
- Created with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Design heavily influenced by existing Alarm applications, with minor variances
- Alarm and time-related application mockups received a 3 of 4 star rating overall by a panel of mobile design professionals!
