Overview
Created "gadZOOks," a scratch-built search engine which returns the location of zoos containing any animal.
Web Content and Marketing Planner
- Contributed to site content management, such as descriptions and team credits
- Also contributed to web design, arranging content to better suit user experience
- Responsible for pitching and presenting website and project work for the group
- Created plans for hypothetical site launch, including partnerships with animal-related TV networks, colleges with veterinarian programs, and zoos!
- Used Apache Solr/Nutch, cPanel, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Twitter Bootstrap, and Google Maps API
Video
- Did some voiceover work, though on-camera presence could be improved. It was very cold when we were filming!
- Wrote a majority of the script, ensuring key features and future plans were discussed
Results
- Video and live demo was presented in front of the class and a panel of Online Marketing and Informatics professionals, including:

- Selected as 3rd best search site shown out of 7 total in class!
